"Normal" Results Don't Always Mean There's Nothing Wrong

Being told everything looks normal should feel like good news. When you're still not pregnant, it doesn't.

Maybe you've heard "just keep trying." Or "it's probably your age." Or my least favourite: "it's unexplained."

Here's what 20+ years of clinical practice has taught me. It's not unexplained. It's unexplored.

I know this one personally. It took me almost 3 years to conceive my son naturally, and what changed things was identifying and addressing what was contributing. Such as finding the underlying cause for my Husband’s morphology issues. Once we found the cause, we could treat it.

Looking back, it wouldn't have mattered what those tests cost me.

Most of the women and couples I work with have already done a lot. Years of research. A cupboard full of supplements. Appointment after appointment, where each specialist looks at their part and you end up as the project manager, trying to piece it all together.

The problem isn't effort. It's that no one has shown you what actually deserves your attention.

Take Sarah and Sam.

They'd been through repeated miscarriages and failed IVF. Sam's semen analysis came back "normal," so no one looked any further.

Sperm are extremely tiny, which makes them very sensitive to anything affecting their health. When we tested Sam for sperm DNA fragmentation, his results showed high levels, plus chromosomal issues no previous provider had picked up, because his semen analysis looked 'fine'.

We helped Sarah identify uterine scarring from multiple D&Cs, which was referred to a specialist and treated. With both of them supported, they conceived and now have a baby girl. đź’›

Fertility Explored takes the process I use with my VIP clients (investigate what's been missed, then act on it with clear, targeted steps) and puts it into a self-paced program you can work through at home, with your partner.

It won't review your own results. That's what my VIP program is for. What it will do is help you stop guessing and make your next decisions from a clear plan, not the latest forum thread.

By the end, you'll know what may have been missed, what to put in place, and what your next step is.

Are You Tired of Doing Everything Right?

  • Being told "everything looks normal" when you're still not pregnant

  • Paying for tests "in case," without knowing which ones actually matter for you

  • Being the one who books, chases and keeps track of every appointment and result

  • Hearing "he's been tested and he's fine" after one basic semen analysis

  • Reading so much conflicting advice that you don't know what to believe anymore

  • Feeling like every month is another failure

What Happens When Someone Looks a Little Deeper

These stories come from my VIP clients, who went through the same process Fertility Explored is built on.
Every case is different and no one can promise a pregnancy, but they show why it matters to look beyond "normal."

Casey had been trying to conceive for 5 years, with 8 ovulation induction cycles and 2 miscarriages that no one could explain. Her thyroid had been called "normal," even though it was actually suboptimal and struggled when she became pregnant. We focused on thyroid and progesterone support, plus blood sugar balance. She conceived naturally 2 months later, held the pregnancy and had a healthy baby.

Josie was trying to conceive on her own with donor sperm. Her IVF cycle at 40 gave her a low number of eggs and poor fertilisation. She spent several months preparing before trying again, and at 42, her next cycle gave her more eggs, better fertilisation and healthier embryos than 2 years earlier. She's now a mum to a baby from her 42-year-old embryos.

What I Can (and Can't) Promise

I can't promise you a pregnancy, and I'd be wary of anyone who does.

What I can promise is that Fertility Explored will give you a clearer understanding of what may have been missed, practical foundations to put in place, and a clear next step, so you're not left guessing.

Kathryn Moloney, founder of Fertility + Beyond

Hi, I'm Kathryn

I'm a functional fertility specialist, BHSc (Naturopath) with over 20 years of clinical experience, and patients in more than 30 countries. I've worked with natural conception, IVF, pregnancy loss and complex cases, often with people who'd been told there was nothing else to look at.

I also spent almost 3 years trying to conceive my son, so I know how it feels to hear "everything's normal" when it doesn't feel that way. Fertility Explored is the process I use with my VIP clients, made available to more of the people who need it.

Even When You Think You Know the Reason

Sometimes the answer you already have isn't the whole picture. Here are more stories from my VIP clients.

Megan had endometriosis and adenomyosis, and believed those were the only reasons she wasn't conceiving. Her symptoms improved, but she still wasn't pregnant. When she agreed to the immune-related tests I'd recommended, they showed an immune incompatibility with her embryos. With the appropriate immune treatment, she conceived in her very next cycle.

Ellie was a VIP client who had an AMH of 0.04, irregular cycles, high FSH levels, fibroid + cyst history, severe menstrual pain, significant gut dysfunction (plus her partner had suboptimal semen parameters).
Ellie conceived within 3 months of working together, and now has a very active toddler.

  • You've done a lot already or just starting out and want to know what actually deserves your attention
  • You'd like your partner involved, because his side of things matters too
  • You'd love the VIP process, but 1:1 support isn't within reach right now
  • You like learning at your own pace (or out and about, with the audio version) 🎧

You've Done the Research. Now Let's Look at What's Been Missed.

Stop piecing it all together on your own. Get the framework I use with my VIP clients, at your own pace and at a fraction of the cost.
